Yesterday the CA Legislature overwhelmingly approved SB-91. Among other things, the bill extends the current COVID-19 residential tenant protections to June 30, 2021. Commercial landlord tenant relationships are not impacted. More details here:

The ongoing Judicial Council COVID-19 eviction ban in California may be lifted soon, leaving relief to the legislature.

A statewide moratorium on evicting tenants during the coronavirus pandemic could end in the next 2 ½ weeks, triggering what some fear could be “a wave of evictions” unless lawmakers reinstate the ban.
