I know I’ve been pretty quiet lately, but as most you know, I’ve been raising a puppy. No sleep. No time! 🐾🐾😂 Athena is growing very quickly and knows about 14 commands. She will be an excellent service dog.

Joshua Ambush and staff are working hard to get out the retainers for the new lawsuit. If you haven’t received yours, it should come very soon. They have been out for about three weeks, and some people got theirs today, so that means that they are still working on them. DON’T panic! Give them the time they need. ❤️🇺🇸💙

Within the next 2 weeks I will write up and post statement templates to assist everyone in writing their story and bombing experiences.

I am driving back to to Texas tomorrow from Arizona where I have spent almost 2 months isolated with Count and Athena, so that we can all bond and she can get used to what it takes to be a service dog. Early training & socializing. 🐾

After I return, I will be making a post about Wills and Trusts. There have been several inquiries which is excellent!

Now that those people who have not previously been represented in these lawsuits, and the people who are currently being paid money need to think about how they’re going to protect award payments in the future. Our longevity isn’t guaranteed and we need to protect our wishes & family.

I already took care of getting a Will and Trust over two years ago, so I am quite familiar with the process. However, it would be best if you start looking for a good trust attorney. I found mine through Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union, where they gave us excellent service and a discount. Ours was fairly complicated, so hopefully yours won’t be as pricey.

PS Athena grew from that tiny thing to a big girl in only 6 weeks. At 14 weeks she is far from fully grown. 😅🐾🐾💞

Good evening. Trena brought it to my attention that the USVSST Special Master authorized almost 90% of the 6th round payments on January 5th. To get the full story I called my lawyer’s office: Joshua Ambush and staff.

Here’s the situation. Once released from the Special Master, it takes a couple of days for each lawyer to receive their list. Upon receiving the list there are several things that must be validated.

First, who is on the list. Next, is all their payment and contact information correct? Next, what is the amount of money paid by the fund for each person. We all have different awards so therefore we don’t all get paid the same.

Furthermore, some people have court ordered liens on their payments so that will change their payment regardless of their award amount. The USVSST directives are very clear that liens against payments must be honored before a recipient receives anything.

All of the above information must be validated and certified before our letters are sent out so we can accept our funds. Our actual payment must be validated before the funding letter is sent. Each person is vetted individually so this takes some time. It’s a process…

Please be patient. The process moves pretty quickly because the staff members performing these “checks and balances” work up to 14-16 hours each day trying to get the money into the hands of the recipients ASAP.

My discussions and experience are with the Ambush Law Group, but I am sure every lawyer representing clients must feel the same urgency or at least I hope they do. I have no interactions with other law firms so I cannot validate that.

I am nothing but an information channel and recipient but I do my best to represent your feelings/interests/needs to the lawyer. I also try to represent the lawyers process to you. Hopefully I am successful at both! 😅

I am asking you to be patient and give them a week or two to determine who is getting paid, how much and get your authorization paperwork to you. You certainly don’t want your money being deposited into the wrong account.

To get a jump on this, about two weeks ago Ambush and staff asked us to verify our information. Apparently a LARGE number of recipients changed critical information further slowing down the process.

What you can do: ensure you ACH form (electronic deposit form) and email is correct. Take a deep breath and trust that there are people working on your behalf and your payment will be forthcoming ASAP.

Understand that at this time there is no way to verify which ones of us are in the “almost” 90% who were paid. I have no clue what group I am in either.

Making a lot of phone calls and sending emails is only going to slow the process because it takes time and focus off the extremely urgent and important task at hand.

Try to relax. Trust their process that has worked thus far and give it a little time. I promise you that every effort is being made to pay you ASAP.
