The San Antonio housing market continues giving buyers more opportunity than many people realize, even with mortgage rates remaining elevated.

Here’s what the latest market numbers showed this week:

• 7,151 homes on the market
• 2,583 price reductions
• 820 pending sales
• 705 homes sold
• Median sold price around $325,000

Mortgage rates remained in the mid 6 percent range this week, with VA and FHA loans still offering slightly better options for many buyers.

One of the biggest advantages buyers still have right now is seller concessions.

We are continuing to see sellers contribute toward:
• Closing costs
• Interest rate buy downs
• Lower upfront cash requirements

That flexibility is helping many buyers create more manageable monthly payments despite higher rates.

For relocation buyers, San Antonio continues standing out because of affordability compared to many major Texas cities, strong job growth, military presence, healthcare expansion, and the variety of neighborhoods available across the metro area.

But this market requires strategy.
