Yesterday was a beautiful day! Our firm tried a serious first degree felony case to a jury and obtained a not guilty verdict for our client. A special thanks to our dear friend and colleague Katie Roberts of Pearsall for her help in selecting a fair and impartial jury. A special thank you to Joanna Collins of Linus Investigations. As always, Linus’s investigative work rivaled the finest detective work law enforcement can marshal, and gave us the information and logistical support we needed to secure a victory.
While we were making closing arguments in that case, we learned that our firm also obtained a victory in the Supreme Court of the United States (opinion link in the comments)
These two victories represent years of hard work, collaboration, and persistence. These cases were complex and required pleading our client’s position through multiple procedural stages.
