"Police say that the landlord is upset that the tenant hasn’t paid the rent. They also collected evidence of the landlord texting her brother saying that if she doesn’t get her rent money, she is going to burn the house down. At 5:20 p.m. police were called out again reporting that Romo’s house was on fire. Romo lives just a few feet behind the victim. According to police, the tenant said he witnessed the landlord standing outside and looking upward at her home. A few minutes later he saw smoke coming out."

I have had to handle several cases with similar facts in the San Antonio region recently.

Landlords in Portland are having real trouble removing tenants and shockingly have to pay for their relocation costs in some cases too.

The homeowner said he's trying to sell the property but can’t — ever since some strangers moved in and refused to leave.
