If you encounter water on the roadway:

🚧 Turn Around, Don’t Drown
🚗 Slow down and leave extra space between vehicles
💡 Turn on your headlights when visibility is reduced

For the latest highway conditions, visit DriveTexas.org

Rain impacts are expected, and that means road conditions can change quickly.

Never drive through flooded roadways. It only takes a small amount of moving water to sweep a vehicle away, and the road beneath may be damaged or completely washed out.

If you come across water covering the road, play it safe:

Turn Around, Don’t Drown 🚧
Slow down and increase following distance 🚗
Use your headlights when visibility is reduced 💡

No destination is worth the risk. Stay weather-aware and make safety your priority.
