Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Celinda has been a practicing attorney for over 30 years and serves as an Adjunct Professor for Webster University Graduate School. Since graduating from St. Mary’s School of Law in 1989, she has focused on general civil practice, specializing in estate planning, probate, elder, and family law. She is admitted to appear in any court for the state of Texas. She is currently a member of the San Antonio Bar Association, serves on Board for the St. Mary’s Law School Hispanic Law Alumni Association, and was nominated for Best Lawyer in the areas of Wills & Estate Planning and Family Law in 2018. Celinda has been rated AV Preeminent from Martindale-Hubbell, for the highest level of professional excellence by her peers nationally, in 2020.
Aside from practicing law, Celinda currently serves as a member of the St. Pius Catholic Church Pastoral Council, the Hope for the Future Development Board, and the St. PJ’s Children’s Home Governing Committee. In 2003, she was part of the Leadership San Antonio Class of XXVIII and was given the Rising Star Award as a member of the San Antonio Business Journal’s 40 Under 40. In 2012, Celinda was also nominated for the Webster University’s Kemper Outstanding Award for Excellence in Teaching and became an honorary member of the Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society in Business Administration.
