Man, I’m convinced. They just do not build homes with this kind of soul anymore. 👌

​If you’re tired of every house on the market looking like the exact same grey box, check out these photos from a walkthrough I did today. This place has some serious personality.

​Photo 1: The backyard pond. Big koi just hanging out, water lilies, and a cactus in the background. Honestly, sitting out here with a cold drink after work would hit different.

​Photo 2: Check out these double sinks. Total retro setup with the wall mounts and built-in shelving on the sides. They don't make stuff like this now unless you pay an arm and a leg.

​Photo 3: The corner booth in the kitchen. Look at that light fixture overhead too. This is the exact spot where you eat your breakfast tacos on a Saturday morning.

​Photo 4: The tile work on the bathroom floor. Classic San Antonio style right there. Plus that hammered metal piece on the wall is sharp.

Real question for anyone living in or looking at San Antonio right now. 🙋‍♂️

Say you have a fixed budget. Which way are you going?

Option A: 1970s or 80s ranch inside 1604. Bigger lot, mature oak trees, central location. You can get almost anywhere in town without hating life on the highway, but you are dealing with older plumbing, an aged roof, and updating the floor plan yourself.

Option B: Brand new build out past Alamo Ranch, far West Side, or off 35 up near Schertz. Modern layout, fresh paint, zero work needed, and the AC is not going to break on a 105 degree August afternoon. But your commute is longer and the backyard barely fits a grill and a patio set.
