🍻 AUSTIN, LET’S TALK CIVICS — OVER A DRINK.
On September 16, we’re taking over a local Austin bar for a night of civic trivia, voter registration, and real talk about what’s happening in our community—from housing costs and voting rights to the issues shaping South Asian and BIPOC life in Texas.
Hosted by Texas Voter Project, Joy Resistance Network, Radical Registrars, SAAVETX Education Fund, and Planned Parenthood.
No experience. No agenda. Just good people, good drinks, and a reason to show up.
What’s happening:
- Civic Trivia — Test your knowledge of Texas voting rights, local issues, and the November 3 ballot.
- Register to Vote — Certified Volunteer Deputy Registrars will be there to help you register or check your voter registration.
- Pledge to Vote — Make your commitment to show up on November 3.
- Mock Polling Machine — Get familiar with the voting process with a demonstration from the County Clerk’s Office.
- Community Conversation — Talk about the issues that matter to South Asians and BIPOC Texans in Austin.
No lectures. No speeches. Just a chance to connect, learn something, and make sure your voice counts.
The voter registration deadline is October 5.
One bar night. One registration check. One more step toward making sure our community is counted.
September 16. Austin. Come hang out—and leave a little more civically ready.
