Some closings mean a little more. ❤️🏡

Looking back at this moment from last year, I’m reminded that sometimes being a real estate professional means getting to witness a milestone in the lives of people you already care about.

Lisa and Brett were not just clients. They were close friends, and getting to be part of their journey to their dream home made this closing especially meaningful.

Everything wasn’t perfect. But their faith was, and they kept going.

And sometimes, that’s the reminder we all need.

Don’t wait for everything to be perfect before you take the next step.

With the right people around you, the right guidance, and the willingness to keep moving forward, things can come together in ways you may not have imagined.

But there are other things worth paying attention to:

I walked through a new build with my team this week, and it reminded me that the small things are what protect you after closing. Before you take the keys, make sure you:

1️⃣ Know how to submit a warranty request
2️⃣ Ask what is not covered, like storm or third party damage
3️⃣ Save the emergency home line before move in
4️⃣ Walk the yard: fence, drainage and lot lines
5️⃣ Test everything: doors, outlets, windows, faucets

Every builder's warranty is different, so ask your builder to put the details in writing. You are making one of the biggest investments of your life, and you deserve to walk in with confidence, not surprises. 🙌🏾
