I always new that when I retired, I was going to do something I enjoyed. As a young kid I always enjoyed building things and taking them apart. My great grandfather was a great cabinet builder. They told me that I would always ru
n out to his garage and want to now what he was building and try to help. As I grew older my Aunt and Uncles built homes out in the country. I enjoyed several summers helping build their homes. During my high school years, mom and dad kept me out of trouble by adding a large addition to their home. I went on to become an IT Technician at the UT Health Science Center for 30 years. If anything ever happened with my home I would fix it. Never calling a service person to fix what I could. I would take on handyman jobs on the weekends completely gutting homes and restoring them, Building storage sheds, cabanas anything that would keep me building and outside. I figured when I retired I would just continue doing odd projects as a handyman. As retirement grew closer my health took a big turn. Which made me have to rethink a lot of my future. My wife is a double amputee and my daughter was just starting middle school. I needed more time with my family and the present job was difficult to keep up with my daughter's school activities, wife's doctors appointments and now mine. While recovering from surgery I was speaking with a good friends of mine and they suggested I look into Home Inspections. I could no longer build but I could look and inspect. I looked more into it and decided to go back to school and get my Professional Home Inspector license. I went ahead and retired form the job I had done for 30 years. I wanted to create a business that incorporates everything I believe in. FAITH - for without God nothing is possible. FAMILY - The support from my family and friends is immeasurable. INTEGRITY - I am a man who stands behind what I say with honesty period.
