📢 Don McFarland Appointed, Sworn In as Magoffin County Judge/Executive 📢

Don McFarland has officially been appointed by Governor Andy Beshear and sworn in as Magoffin County Judge/Executive, filling the vacancy created by the resignation of former Judge/Executive Matthew Wireman. While this was a mid-term appointment, McFarland will serve in the role until voters choose a new Judge/Executive in the 2026 election.

McFarland steps into office during an active period for county government, with infrastructure projects, service needs, and budget decisions already underway. His appointment ensures continuity of leadership as Magoffin County heads toward the upcoming election cycle.
