MAKING DREAMS COME TRUUUUUUUE 🙌

As attorneys we’ve earned an incredible blessing — we have the power to change lives. While we do believe in getting paid for labor, we also believe in balance, in using our gift to lift up our community as an act of service.
We recently provided a pro bono contract review regarding a book deal. It was this person’s life long dream to become a published author. However, as is often the case in these deals with skewed power dynamics, the agreement included points of concern and exposure to be aware of.
A fair deal was negotiated and now this person’s dream is coming true in a way that is safe and feels good. We gladly accept these beautiful spring flowers as appreciation for our help ( ) and celebrate their forthcoming release!
Having the power and training to help people has always been part of my dream. I’m so grateful it’s come true.

Fabulous weekend retreat organized by the Women Lawyers of Utah at the

The theme of this year’s Benefit Gala was Fairy Tale. Relationships often feel like a fairy tale in the beginning. Only time will tell if that romance will end in happily ever after or whether something wicked this way comes.

At The LOCD, we are committed to ensuring the safety and well being of women and their children and to the prevention of domestic violence. It was an honor to give our time and resources to this worthy cause. The Legal Aid Society provides protective orders and other legal services to families that cannot otherwise afford them. A lovely evening at the Salt Lake County Bar’s New Judges and Lawyers Reception at the Alta Club. ⚖️✨

We welcomed new members of the bar and honored the achievements of the newly appointed judges. I love that practicing in Utah includes access to members of the bench outside of court and that our judiciary is so kind and generous with its time. In attendance were judges from all of Third District and the higher courts. As always, I enjoyed reconnecting with colleagues as well.
