As you may know, Harper Blevins is once again making her way to Miss Indiana Week this June. As part of that journey she is raising money for Miss America (educational scholarships for ladies like herself) and the American Heart Association. The AHA means a lot to us since she lost her Pawpaw, Dr Chris Blevins, to heart disease. Harper would really appreciate your support in reaching her goals. No amount is too small….

Congratulations to all the presenters and faculty mentors from across the IU campuses who participated in today's Indiana University Undergraduate Research Conference hosted by IU Southeast! Conference judges recognized the exceptional nature of seven poster presentations and seven oral presentations. Winners will receive a cash prize in recognition for their outstanding work.

Let's be honest. COVID-19 has us stressed. Our community is being asked to stay home, to work when we don't feel safe, and there are financial worries for so many of our families. In times like these we often think of decisions and legal matters that we have been putting off. Most commonly, estate planning. We hope that all of us remain safe and healthy, but also know that estate planning such as Wills, Power of Attorney and Medical Directives may be weighing on your mind. Our office is offering a reduced consult fee on all estate planning matters through the resumption of normal business at then end of this national crisis. We can handle these consultations over the phone, via secure telechat or in person. We also have 2 Notaries on hand to help us meet your needs and comply with Indiana Code as to Estate Documents. We are still open at Bartanen Law Office, and will be open through this crisis and into the future. That being said, please know that we all have young children at home and parents in high risk categories. Bearing that in mind, please call to schedule any face-to-face appointments with us so that we can appropriately meet your needs. IF you have a fever or a cough, or know that you may have been exposed to COVID-19 please inform us prior to arriving so that we can serve you without encouraging the spread of this virus.

During this time of social distancing we will be present in our office as usual, but will be scheduling appointments and not accepting walk-ins so that we can maintain a plan to keep our office sanitary and safe for you and for us. IF you, or someone in your close circle, is feeling unwell please be up front about that. We will work with you to provide you services in a way that meets your needs and allows us to be protective of our young families.
