At 15, I was involved in a serious accident wherein I shattered six bones in my left ankle and lower leg. I endured reconstructive ankle surgeries, and it took me 2 years to learn how to walk again with severe pain. However, during that time I felt a transition and a strength growing within me. I now know and understand exactly what it feels like to be treated by others differently and not have my

voice heard, because of an injury. It was at this point that I decided to become an attorney as a voice for the injured and the disabled. While realizing this and afterwards, I have had that decision reinforced after being involved in major auto accidents and sustaining injuries. During the recovery process, I felt a passion and desire to help others as an attorney and treat them with respect, dignity and sincerity. After graduating from law school and working at several law firms, I founded my own law firm based on these qualities. PRACTICE AREAS:

Wow, time flies! 20 years ago, I started my law firm! I'm so grateful for the honor & privilege to represent each client, each mediation as a mediator and the different Board of Directors I have been on and the pro bono work I have had the privilege to do. I took a leap of faith to start my own law firm ln March 2006, and it will be the 20th anniversary of it on Tuesday! I'm truly grateful for those that I have had the privilege and honor to represent. Later this year, it will also be my 25th anniversary of being a FL licensed attorney, and my 20th year of being a FL Supreme Court Certified County and Civil Mediator. With these milestones this year, they remind me how incredibly grateful I am for being able to help others as an attorney and mediator, and I sincerely thank you for allowing me to do so. Tomorrow will mark a milestone for Attorney Bellhorn. It will be 25 years ago that she graduated from Stetson University College of Law with a Juris Doctor degree. Since becoming a lawyer, she is incredibly grateful for having realized her dream to help others as an attorney, and she's honored and privileged for those she's represented. She is also very grateful for the legal and non-legal organizations that she has had the privilege to be on the Board of Directors of and/or to be involved with, the amazing legal non-profit organization and law firms that she worked at prior to starting her own law firm, and the different lawyers and others at non-profit organizations and otherwise that she has met and become friends with along the way. The Stetson law alumni are truly helpful and wonderful since graduating as are the Professors and staff at Stetson law, thank you! She can't believe it has been 25 years and is incredibly grateful!!

Today I heard from a former client, and it was so nice to hear from her. She wanted to thank me for helping her during that hard time in her life, that she is doing much better now, and that she thinks of me often.
