season is back in St. Pete which means snowbird season is on the way out.

And if you’ve been driving downtown lately, you’ve probably felt it. 👀🚦

Here are 3 things to keep in mind right now:

1. Snowbirds don’t know our roads like locals do. One-way streets, tight downtown turns, unexpected stops… this is when accidents spike.

2. Their insurance usually isn’t Florida-based. If you get into an accident, you could be dealing with out-of-state policies and different rules.

3. Slower driving = more unpredictable driving. Hesitation, sudden stops, confusion etc. it creates situations you have to react to fast.

If something does happen, don’t try to figure it out alone especially if the other driver isn’t from Florida!

After graduating from Stetson Law, Jim started as an assistant state attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit, covering Pinellas and Pasco Counties. He then joined a local law firm, where he learned personal injury law. ⚖️

Jim realized he wanted to start his own practice to have his name on the door, provide personalized service, and build a referral network for clients. 💼

Since launching in August 2013 with just Jim, the firm has grown to five lawyers and eight support staff across Missouri, Colorado, Texas, and Florida. 📍
