💡 3 Things Business Owners Should Know About d/b/a’s:

➡️A d/b/a (also called a “fictitious name”) is what you file if your business uses a name different from your LLC.
➡️Filing a d/b/a is required for compliance but doesn’t give you exclusive rights to that name.
➡️The only way to protect your business name is by filing a trademark with the USPTO.

Bottom line: a d/b/a keeps you legal, but a trademark keeps you protected.
