I had the distinct pleasure of presenting (3 times) at the Minnesota Guardianship and Conservatorship Law Seminar yesterday. It’s not my first time, but since I’m still celebrating my 20th anniversary, I was found myself reflecting back on how I attended several seminars at MNCLE right after I got laid off and decided to hang my shingle. I still pinch myself. I’m still here. 😊

I’m so grateful for each and every one of my clients. Thanks for helping me get here – and stay here. 🙏

Announcement: I cannot take client appointments the weeks of March 3 and March 10. This Is my first time being summoned for jury duty! I’m toggling between excitement and dread: I want to fulfill my civic duty, but I had to block off 2 weeks in my calendar. I deferred twice, because of my trial schedule. I cannot put it off any more: I report tomorrow!

If I’m not selected for a jury tomorrow, I still have to call in twice per day – at 11:30 AM and 5 PM - each day to see if I am needed for the afternoon session, or the following day.

If I’m not selected, I’ll be able to answer my phone/respond to email. But I just can’t plan for any client calls. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. 

I am scheduling appointments the week of March 17.

I cannot believe what just happened. I have had the same phone number for my business for the last 19 1/2 years. Quantum Fiber came today to install faster web access and Century Link "accidentally" hit the wrong button and P**F! My BUSINESS phone number is gone. They cannot reissue it (even though it just happened 20 minutes ago), but they CAN give me a new phone number, but because of some changes...blah, blah, blah...it will take weeks to get. What the heck!?!

How do I get a new phone number? I was going to get VOIP and transfer my old number to that, but I cannot transfer it because my phone number of 19 1/2 years is now GONE!!!!

So, HOW DO I GET A NEW PHONE NUMBER FOR MY BUSINESS?? I need help...and I need it fast.

I started my law practice 18 years ago today! I was three months pregnant, and had no idea what I was going to do after being laid off. I’m not complaining. It’s just another example that that lemons make the best lemonade. Fortuitous. Grateful. Solo suits me.
