Looking for motivated high school*/college student with interest in criminal justice, paralegal work, or other law-related field to help with all aspects of legal representation, from general admin to possibly assisting in court.

Position is a 6-month, part-time, INTERNSHIP with POSSIBILITY for extension or hire. Past interns have received school credit.

Applicants MUST:
-Be proficient in Microsoft/Google Office
-Have working knowledge of social media
-Have good writing skills,
-Have valid drivers license,
-Be able to work and think independently,
-Be able to multi-task,
-Be open-minded, and
-Be empathetic.

The schedule is flexible but applicant must be able to work mostly during business hours. Appx. 10 -20 hours per week, depending on the situation.

*I may consider high school senior with interest in pursuing a career in law (with good grades and teacher recommendation).

Tickets for minor possession offenses will be automatically expunges twice a year.
Additionally, DUI law will no longer have a zero tolerance policy for any amount of cannabis.

Effective immediately, possession of up to 10 grams of ma*****na in Illinois is punishable by a fine, instead of a misdemeanor with possible jail time.

This will be a major blow to any defense that relies on forensic results of evidence - for example in DUI or r**e cases....
