Frog Song Organics' Roselle Festival is back for an afternoon celebrating the farm, the season, and the wonderfully vibrant world of roselle hibiscus.

Wander the fields for U-Pick roselle, take a guided tour with the Frog Song team, dig into Caribbean-inspired and farm-fresh fare, browse handmade goods from local makers, and settle in for live music all afternoon.

There are workshops, including Roselle 101 with Gina Zdankowski, where you can learn about this beautiful plant’s history, culinary uses and more, with tastings of teas, jams and other roselle creations.

Kids can enjoy face painting and family-friendly activities, while the farm stand offers plenty to take home, from organic produce and pasture-raised pork to cane syrup, jams, herbal teas, coffee, hot sauce and ferments.

Relax and enjoy an evening of live music in the Radzinski Garden featuring St. Augustine Bluegrass Unit!

Some seating will be provided, but guests are encouraged to bring their own folding chairs. Beverages will be available for donation. This is a free community event.

The Radzinski Garden is located at the rear of the Lightner Museum building. Gates open at 5:50 p.m.

In the event of inclement weather, Music in the Garden will be moved indoors to the historic swimming pool.

Join the St. Augustine Film Society, St. Johns Cultural Council, and Matanzas Riverkeeper for a special evening featuring the acclaimed environmental documentary, The Keeper, directed by Jon Bowermaster.

A dedicated boat captain and his dog patrol the Hudson River, monitoring environmental concerns after decades of industrial damage. Despite improvements, their mission reveals ongoing challenges to this historic waterway's ecosystem.

This powerful film chronicles the decades-long commitment, passion, and grassroots advocacy required to protect and preserve the vital river ecosystem of the Hudson River. The Hudson Riverkeeper started the Riverkeeper movement, which now totals nearly 300 organizations across the globe working to protect the waterways that their communities rely on.

On October 16, 17, and 18, All the Devils Shakespeare Inc. will light up airwaves at the Waterworks with a reimagined live radio play of H.G. Wells' War of the Worlds.

Long before podcasts, streaming, and 24-hour news, radio had the power to make an entire audience believe the unbelievable. Now, this legendary story comes to the stage in a live theatrical experience that brings the suspense, imagination, and sheer unease of Wells’ classic to life.

Directed by Dani Finch and Spencer Finch, War of the Worlds is a fitting tale for October, when the nights get darker, the stories get stranger, and sometimes the most frightening thing is wondering what might be waiting just beyond the edge of what we know.

🍂 It’s the most wonderful time of the year to take the back roads and discover the working farmlands around St. Johns County. The rural roads, wide fields, flower farms, produce growers, and the people who keep our agricultural traditions alive.

The Harvest Trail is more than a tour. It’s a chance to see where our food and flowers are grown, meet the folks who lovingly tend them, and experience a little of the agricultural heart of the county.

So this fall, take the scenic route. Stop at a farm, purchase some freshly harvested produce, flowers, honey and more. Bring home the sights and smells of the season.

As you visit each farm, be sure to get your passport stamped. The more farms you visit, the more rewards you can unlock. Turn in your completed passport at the end of the event to claim prizes at different achievement levels. The Harvest Trail runs September 26 – November 1.

Autumn in downtown St. Augustine isn’t officially underway until the Pumpkin Church exterior is filled with the ochre orbs.

Pumpkins are coming back to King Street on Friday, October 9, just in time for your porch decorating inspiration, carving design deliberations, and at least one pumpkin that you know is coming home with you. 🎃
