Irene Arriola Real Estate - ONE Sotheby's International Realty

Irene Arriola Real Estate - ONE Sotheby's International Realty St Augustine Real Estate Business IRENE ARRIOLA has practiced real estate full-time in St Augustine and St Johns County for over 21 years.

From the outset she recognized the unique aspects and free-spirited nature of the area, and so associated herself with independent owned and operated firms like ONE Sotheby's International Realty that had the flexibility and imagination to meet the challenges of providing top-notch services for such a community and its consumers. The result of this personal business plan has consistently placed Ir

ene among the top five producers in the county. Her marketing skills have put her services and her properties at the top of nearly everyone's list, and her talent for turning a phrase and bringing descriptions to vibrant life has taken print advertising to the level of art. Not one to take without giving back, Irene is generous with her community service. She provides the Council on Aging with pro-bono representation on a regular basis. From time to time she acts as Realtor for the City of St Augustine as well. She is also Secretary for the St Johns Housing Partnership. In addition, she pens the popular Downtown Neighbors column for the St Augustine Record. Irene has been chosen by her community Realtor of the Year three times, and her proudest achievement remains the O.E. Barnes Humanitarian Service Award presented by her peers. Irene has the distinct honor of being chosen ten times by the residents of St. Augustine as a “Five Star Real Estate Professional.” Respondents were asked to consider real estate agents they knew through personal experience and to evaluate them based on the following criteria: Customer service, direct and honest communication, finding the "perfect" home, integrity, effective negotiation skills, marketing efforts, industry and market knowledge, dedication and overall satisfaction. These are, in fact, the suite of skills that Irene has become widely known for commanding. The daughter of a former ballerina with the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo and of a journalist with El Dia in Mexico City, Irene has spent much of her life immersed in music, dance, poetry and prose. Married to a musician and songwriter, she also acts as his agent and creative muse.

June 5 is World Environment Day 🌎

When we think about the people who have inspired us to care more deeply for this beautiful planet, few embody that spirit like Jane Goodall. Her lifelong commitment to her work reminds us that connection, compassion, and respect for the natural world begin at home.

The trees that shade our streets, the oceans that calm our souls, the wildlife that share this world with us. These are not just landscapes around us, they are part of the story of who we are.

World Environment Day is not about perfection. It is about awareness, and remembering that this extraordinary Earth, with all her beauty and wonder, is the one place we all belong.

No matter where you live, may today be a reminder to pause, look around, and love the place we all call home a little more deeply.

Summon your inner Jane!

Sometimes wonderment arrives quietly, on wings stretched across the morning sky, in the majesty of sunrise, in the beauty we almost miss when life moves too fast.

Today, may we pause long enough to notice.

Just Listed | San Sebastián Riverview Lots

A rare opportunity awaits at 14 Julia Street.

Positioned on the eastern end of the street, these two homesites offer the potential for beautiful views of the San Sebastian River and colorful sunrises to start each day.

Planned lot line adjustments will reconfigure the property into two north-south parcels, each with approximately 57.5 feet of frontage along Julia Street and a depth of 105 feet. The easternmost homesite is expected to capture expansive river views, while the interior parcel offers strong vistas from second-story living spaces and upper porches.

The property currently includes an older residence and outbuildings, though the true value lies in the land and its development potential. Demolition approval has been requested and is anticipated through an administrative review process.

Additional highlights include no City of St. Augustine impact fees, available water and sewer service, and a wooded conservation parcel across the street that helps preserve the neighborhood’s natural beauty and privacy.

Zoned RG-1, both proposed conforming lots allow up to 35% lot coverage and offer flexibility for a primary residence, second home, or investment opportunity.

History has a way of staying with us… especially when it’s shared by someone who witnessed it firsthand.

ACCORD’s “The SPLASH Heard Around the World” Meet & Greet with Robert Swan, Jr. will take place Thursday, June 18 from 5–8 PM at Accord Freedom Trail & Civil Rights Museum of St. Augustine, and this is truly an evening you won’t want to miss.

As a young college student traveling through the segregated South in June 1964, Robert Swan witnessed the historic Monson Motor Lodge “swim-in” protest in St. Augustine, while his brother Nick captured what are believed to be the only color photographs of the event. Together, they met Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., attended his press conference, and even shared lunch with him during one of the most pivotal moments of the Civil Rights Movement.

Guests will have the opportunity to hear Robert’s extraordinary firsthand account and view rare color photographs from this defining moment in history.

RSVPs are encouraged soon, as interest in this important event continues to grow. Don’t miss the chance to be part of an unforgettable evening of history, reflection, and conversation.

Before social media hysteria, there was radio hysteria, and The Battle of Shallowford is bringing the chaos (and comedy) to the stage at the Limelight Theatre!

When a small-town general store crowd hears Orson Welles’ infamous War of the Worlds broadcast in October 1938, they do the only reasonable thing: completely panic and prepare for battle, of course.

Expect small-town gossip, big dreams, unexpected romance, colorful characters, and one very inconvenient “alien invasion.”
