It's almost 4th of July. Stupid people are setting off bottle rockets and loud percussion devices. Please make sure your pets have a TIGHT COLLAR AND NAME TAG. AND KEEP THEM ON A LEASH EVEN FOR EVENING POTTY TIME. Here is a low cost option. It's simple painters tape and marker. But MAKE THE TAPE LONG SO IT CAN BE READ AT A DISTANCE. PLEASE SHARE.

If you have pets. Here is some tips for Fourth of July. And also the days leading up to 4 of July.
This may sound stupid but they work with coping mechanism for dogs
1. keep doors, windows closed.
2. use the a/c if you need to cool the house.
3. turn the TV AND RADIO/STEREO up the loudest you comfortable deal with.
4. Put tv./stereo on relaxing soothing music. No acid rock, heavy metal bands.
5. Spray or douse cotton balls with calming lavender.
6. Get anxiety pills from the vet before July 3 hand. Give them as a trial several days before so you know exactly how much they really need. But be careful they have a rebound effect. If you give too much it makes the anxiety worse.
Also most holistic stores carry a RESCUE REMEDY which is holstic calming liquid.
None of the meds work fast.
They need AT LEAST 60-90 MINUTES BEFORE THE FIRE WORKS GO OFF.
IF YOU NEED TO TAKE THEM OUT FOR POTTY PUT THEM ON A LEASH AND HOLD TIGHT.

In honor of President's Day here's some Presidental facts -

U.S. President Fun Facts:
Abraham Lincoln was the tallest president at 6 feet 4 inches tall, while James Madison was the shortest at just 5 feet 4 inches.

Before becoming president, several had surprisingly everyday jobs: Jimmy Carter was a peanut farmer, Ronald Reagan was a Hollywood movie star, Andrew Johnson was a tailor, and Harry Truman ran a haberdashery (hat and men’s accessories shop)

John Tyler holds the record for the most children by any president with 15 kids total (8 from his first marriage and 7 from his second, even fathering some into his 70s.).

George Washington was unanimously elected as the first president—the only one in history to receive 100% of the electoral votes.
