🎨 Calling all Sacramento creatives! Our partners at the City of Sacramento’s Office of Arts and Culture want YOU to help bring 808 O Street to life.

Arts organizations, culture bearers, and creatives, this one’s for you. Two downtown spaces are up for grabs:
✨ 2,744 sq. ft. room
✨ 1,314 sq. ft. room

Rental fees are based on the days, times, and how often you use the space, so it’s flexible for your vision. 🙌

Earlier today, our community came together for the Bien Juntitos Gala Watch Party, and the room was full of love for nuestros mayores (our elders).
Seeing neighbors, families, and friends show up to honor the Manitos? That’s what community is all about.

We’re proud to have sponsored this celebration of the Bien Juntitos project, a beautiful multimedia tribute featuring film, a book, poetry, music, and stories that lift up the elders who shaped who we are.

A huge shoutout to Janine Mapurunga, social practice artist and the heart behind this incredible project! 🙌 When Janine’s grandmother passed away during filming, the project took a profound turn. CADA is a proud sponsor of this year's annual Backpack Drive, and we couldn't be more excited to support Sacramento's students.

Mayor Kevin McCarty, Vice Mayor Karina Talamantes, and Assemblymember Maggy Krell are teaming up once again to help local kids start the school year ready for success. Every student who comes out will find:

• Free backpacks and school supplies
• Fresh haircuts
• Bike repairs
• A free lunch
• And plenty more

This is what community looks like, neighbors and leaders working together to make sure every child feels prepared and confident on day one. Supporting our students means investing in the future of our neighborhood, and we're honored to be part of it.

We appreciate CapRadio shining a light on Sakura and the broader effort underway, featuring CADA Executive Director Danielle Foster and Mutual Housing California CEO Craig Adelman, spotlighting our shared work to bring more affordable living to Midtown Sacramento.

A joint development by CACDC (CADA’s nonprofit arm) and Mutual Housing California, Sakura will add 134 all-electric affordable homes at 16th and T Street, offering working families a place to live close to jobs, transit, and everyday amenities.

We’re proud to be transforming this corner into a vibrant, people-centered neighborhood. Completion is anticipated in early 2027.

Sacramento, your next affordable home could be just an application away! 🏡 CADA, in partnership with Mutual Housing California, will be conducting a lottery for the opportunity to apply to Sakura, a 134-unit affordable housing community in downtown Sacramento scheduled to open in January 2027. The first step is joining the interest list.
