Huge congratulations to Maeva Hassani and her student partner, both third-year students at NCCU Law, for winning the ABA's national Client Counseling Competition for law students yesterday! They are heading to the international competition!
Maeva worked with Vega Law Office as a student intern during Summer 2024 - and she grew up in Rutherford County. Her drive, compassion, and intelligence will make her a great lawyer!
is proud to announce third-year law students, Cortnei Cooks and Maëva Hassani, WON the American Bar Association National Client Counseling Competition on Sunday, March 16!
Competing against 89 teams from 47 schools, Cortnei and Maëva displayed outstanding skills in employment law. After placing second in the ABA Regional Competition at Drexel Law in February, they advanced to the national finals at the University of Missouri School of Law.
This competition reflects vital attorney skills in interviewing, counseling, and supporting clients. A judge remarked that showcased remarkable empathy and genuine concern for the client, while also being recognized for their innovative and effective solutions across practice areas.
