A few weeks ago, we posted about a change in state law that’s taking effect on October 1: NCDMV is moving to an all-electronic registration system.

That means if you register your vehicle for the first time or renew the registration on or after October 1, you’ll no longer receive a physical license plate sticker or printed registration card.

School Bus Safety!!

🚌 **SCHOOL BUS SAFETY — SLOW DOWN & STAY ALERT!** 🚌

As students head back to school, remember that **school bus safety is everyone’s responsibility!** 👧👦📚

🚨 **When you see a school bus with flashing red lights:**
🛑 **STOP!** Do not pass a stopped school bus.
👀 Watch carefully for children entering or exiting the bus.
🐢 Slow down and be prepared to stop in school zones and neighborhoods.
📵 Put the phone down and keep your attention on the road.
⏰ Give yourself a few extra minutes — getting there safely is more important than getting there quickly.

A child’s life can change in a split second. **Stop for the bus. Protect our kids.** ❤️

The Person County Civil Court session scheduled for today has been canceled. The cases on for today will be moved to Friday March 20th.
