A few important reminders this :

1️⃣ Undocumented immigrants pay billions in taxes every year. In 2023, immigrants paid $89.8 billion in federal, state, and local taxes.

2️⃣ They pay a higher effective federal income tax rate than some of the richest Americans and 55 mega-corporations, including Exxon Mobil, Target, and Tesla.

3️⃣ Their taxes help fund Medicare, Social Security, and unemployment insurance — programs they’re barred from accessing because of their immigration status.
