-$12.5 Million settlement for medical malpractice. This was a case in which a young child was hospitalized after complications from a tonsillectomy. This nurses and doctors failed to recognize that the child was having circulation problems in his leg. This delay resulted in the child having one of his legs amputated as well as a toe on the other foot. The hospital, nurses and doctors paid $12.5 to settle this medical malpractice lawsuit.
-$12 million medical malpractice jury verdict against an oral surgeon involving wrongful death.
-$11.24 Million settlement. Our client suffered quadriplegia in an accident involving the product. The case settled for the sum of $11.24 million. The specific facts of the case and the terms of the settlement are confidential
-$11 Million Jury Verdict for defective medical device. This was the first pelvic mesh jury verdict against Johnson & Johnson in the country.
-$10 Million Jury Verdict for failure to provide police protection. This Action was brought on behalf of a young child who was severely burned by a Molotov Cocktail explosive device that was thrown into the bedroom of his family’s apartment by an unapprehended perpetrator. The jury awarded $10,000,000. in compensatory and punitive damages, which award was reduced by the trial judge to $2,400,000. and affirmed on appeal. The jury found that the police broke their promise to the victim’s family to put surveillance on their home on the night of the attack in order to catch the perpetrator in light of prior similar incidents and pending threats against a family member.
