The Office of the Inspector General (OIG) for the Social Security Administration (SSA) is warning the public about a new government imposter scam. This scam comes in the form of an official-looking letter identified as a “certificate” on fake U.S. Supreme Court letterhead using forged signatures...

Something doesn't add up here...
There's a common narrative that "too many people are getting on disability" but the facts tell a completely different story:

The disability approval process is notoriously restrictive and difficult
The disability trust fund has a SURPLUS through 2099 - that's as far as they project (75+ years)!
About 5% of working-age adults receive disability benefits
Meanwhile, SSA keeps making the approval process even stricter

If the fund is in surplus and approval rates are already very low, why are we making it harder for people who genuinely need help? The math just doesn't math. 🤔

The narrative doesn't match the financial reality AT ALL.

Just wrapped up an inspiring NOSSCR 8th Circuit Social Security Disability Conference held in my home state and close to my alma mater. The conference featured an outstanding lineup of speakers and brought together a dedicated group of attorneys, all working to protect the rights of disabled clients.

Great start to our NOSSCR 8th Circuit Regional Conference. After so many folks had to traverse flooded Missouri and closed highways, we’re making sure there’s…
