🍂 Caring for Your Home as the Season Changes

Cooler days are a good reminder to give your home a little extra attention. A few seasonal maintenance tasks can help keep it comfortable and catch small problems before they become bigger repairs.

Here are some helpful places to start:

🍁 Keep water moving. Clear leaves from gutters and downspouts, and make sure runoff flows away from your foundation. Check for standing water after rain.

🌡️ Prepare your heating system. Schedule routine HVAC service, replace filters as recommended, and keep vents clear of furniture.

🚪 Seal out drafts. Check weatherstripping around doors and windows. Repair worn seals and gaps to help keep warm air inside.

🏠 Check your roof and exterior. From the ground, look for missing shingles, damaged siding, or loose trim. Have a professional investigate damage or signs of a leak.
