I woke up this morning to a call from a family member hearing my client was in jail. Proud to take a few minutes out of my holiday to pop in and let them know their fight is important. lawyers work for the client and no one else. That takes sacrifice and heart because clients cannot conveniently schedule when challenges arise. Proud to fight for all of our rights.

Happy 4th of July Holiday

Remember that it’s a no refusal holiday weekend in most counties in the state.

If you are stopped by law enforcement while operating a motor vehicle, including most boats, and they have reason to believe that you are intoxicated; they will ask you to perform field sobriety test and consent to draw blood or to take a breath test.

You have a right to refuse all tests and it is my opinion that consenting to these tests is not going to prevent a trip to the jailhouse.

So be smart about your consumption and driving afterwards.
