MESSAGE FROM LYNN PERRY PARKER, FOUNDER OF LPP LAW
After 37 fulfilling years, I am retiring from the private practice of law effective June 1, 2025. My second career will focus on senior fitness, with an emphasis in dance fitness as a Zumba Gold instructor. Science has proven that dance is good for body, mind and soul.
My first words of advice in my new capacity is for all of you who sit in front of a computer for hours on end -- get up at least every hour and shake, shimmy, wiggle, stretch, walk, or do a couple of squats! You will feel better, work more productively and be much more enjoyable to be around!
Having had many great mentors over the years; I plan to pay it forward! Like John D. Rockefeller: “I believe in the dignity of labor, whether with head or hand; that the world owes no [person] a living but that it owes every [person] an opportunity to make a living.” As such, I intend to use my many years of employment and business law experience to mentor entrepreneurs, especially those in the entertainment, music and theater industries where both of my children are developing careers.
It is possible to find joy and fulfillment in both one's work and personal life. Enjoy the journeys!
