Another win at the Appellate Court of Maryland.

Our client’s guilty verdict is vacated and now will get a fair trial.

Criminal justice reform is critical. One area of law that needs significant reform is the legal concept of "harmless error."

Essentially harmless error means this: If someone breaks the rule during your trial, as long as an appellate court thinks it does not matter, you don't win. Breaking the law has no consequences in many cases. (for the Government that is)

Harmless Error is an unjust legal doctrine. It means the law was violated but the client gets no relief. But, sometimes the next accused does.
