🐻 Bear Sighting Alert

A bear has been spotted in the area near Argonaut/Sweetwater/Aiken Dairy. Last known sighting on Skyline.

While bear sightings are uncommon, they can happen—especially as wildlife travels in search of food and water.

If you encounter a bear:
• Keep your distance and never approach it.
• Do not feed or attempt to attract the bear.
• Secure garbage, pet food, and other food sources.
• Keep pets on a leash and supervise them outdoors.
• If you see a bear, give it plenty of space and allow it to move on.

If the bear is behaving aggressively or poses an immediate threat to public safety, call 911.

California Department of Fish and Wildlife has been notified of the sighting.
