Maddi practices class action consumer law and teamed up with us to present on the intersection of class action cases and bankruptcy. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Giles & Lambert PC will close early today, Dec. 24, 2025 and be closed on Christmas Day and Dec. 26, 2025 to allow our wonderful staff time with their families.

Blacksburg Office Closed Currently Due to Power Outage

The Blacksburg office of Giles & Lambert is closed at this time (Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025) due to a power outage and staff are working remotely.
The Roanoke and Martinsville offices are open.
We will update this post if this changes.

No matter who you vote for, exercise your right to vote!

On bankruptcy matters, please be aware that a new scam has popped up in Florida, where debtors who filed bankruptcy are getting a letter accusing them of fraud and offering a "one-time amnesty" payment to avoid referral for prosecution. The letter tells the debtors to NOT tell their attorney.

YOU will never be legitimately contacted by the court, your trustee or any "fraud watchdog" and asked for money after filing bankruptcy to avoid prosecution for an alleged bankruptcy crime.

Scammers are always looking for new ways and new victims. If you have filed bankruptcy and receive any communication threatening action like this, immediately contact your attorney and report it to the proper court officials.
