Today, on Peace Officers Memorial Day, the Starr County Attorney’s Office honors and remembers the brave law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. 🇺🇸

We are deeply grateful for the courage, dedication, and selfless service of the men and women who protect our communities each day. We also recognize and pray for those who have been injured in the line of duty and for the families who stand beside our officers through every call, every shift, and every sacrifice.

As flags are lowered to half-staff, may we never forget those who gave their lives in service to others.

Our Starr County Child Abuse Prevention Vigil has been rescheduled to this coming Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

We look forward to coming together as a community for a night of remembrance, awareness, and hope as we continue to stand for the children of Starr County. 💙

Today, Starr County Attorney Rene P. Montalvo and staff were honored to attend the 2026 Child Abuse Prevention Month Pinwheel Ceremony hosted by the 229th District Attorney’s Office.

This meaningful event serves as a reminder that protecting children is a shared responsibility. Together, we stand united to raise awareness, support victims, and work toward a future where every child in our community is safe, valued, and protected.

The Starr County Attorney’s Office was proud to participate in Career Day at Emma Vera Elementary at Roma ISD. It was a pleasure visiting with students, sharing what we do, and encouraging them to dream big about their futures.

Thank you to Emma Vera Elementary for the invitation and for giving us the opportunity to connect with such bright and curious students. We enjoyed being part of a great day of learning and inspiration!
