The SBA has handed down guidance on the Payroll Protection Program to the banks. They will start accepting applications on Friday April 3.

This is the program that gives your business a loan and then you will be eligible for forgiveness if you use it to pay workers instead of laying them off.

Make sure to contact your bank to see if they are an authorized lender and see how you can apply. Money is on a first-come-first-serve basis and you apply through a bank.

You will have the best luck (and speed) through a bank you already have a relationship with.
