A Compassionate Advocate

I represent clients primarily in Family Law matters such as divorce, custody, visitation, spousal and child support, protective orders and the drafting of property settlement agreements.

Having witnessed my own parents’ divorce in my late teens, I have a unique perspective and experience that I am able to provide to my clients. I enjoy being able to counsel them through tough life transitions. Family law issues are some of the most difficult legal issues a person can face and I believe that it is important to treat every person and situation with respect. I am able to listen to my clients and work with them toward peaceful, yet fair, resolutions. My clients, both past and current, have always appreciated my honesty and communicativeness with them. Having an open dialogue with clients and making sure they are informed every step of the way is incredibly important to me because I know that this is the most important and consuming thing you are experiencing.

I grew up in Ohio and am a proud Buckeye, but Richmond has captured my heart and I am glad to call it home. I have become very active within the Richmond community, participating in HYPE and the Metro Richmond Women’s Bar Association, but the most important thing I do is volunteer. I am an ardent animal lover and I enjoy being able to give my time to the Richmond SPCA and Richmond Animal Care and Control to help Richmond’s homeless pets find loving forever homes. My own rescue dog, Sadie, and I love exploring Richmond and the James River park system.
