RECALL ALERT: Ford Motor has recalled about 870,000 F-150 pickup trucks because of a faulty parking brake that could turn on by itself, causing the driver to lose control.

The recall includes 2021 to 2023 models of the F-150, according to recall documents posted Friday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Damages in the wiring of some F-150s could activate the truck's parking brake while someone is driving, causing them to lose control of the vehicle and crash.

RECALL ALERT: Chrysler has announced the recall of more than 44,000 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer SUVs because of a potential problem with the side curtain airbags. The upper trim on the B-pillar (which is the one where the seatbelt is anchored) may not be properly assembled, and it could prevent the airbag from deploying in a crash.

A compromised airbag deployment could reduce occupant protection in a crash, which increases the risk of injury.

Although these vehicles would not fall under the Virginia Lemon Law due to their being used for commercial purposes, we are sharing this article in case you or someone you know owns a commercial vehicle produced by Navistar.

As noted on our website, the Virginia Lemon Law applies to vehicles that are 18 months or younger (from when the first owner purchased the vehicle) AND are used for primarily consumer use/personal use.

Navistar has issued a recall of more than 44,000 trucks after three under-hood fires.

Excerpt: In order to receive reimbursement from the settlement, class members must submit a valid claim form by June 14, 2023.

According to the Audi defect class action lawsuit, certain vehicles were built with defective gateway control modules — part of the vehicle’s electrical system that controls various parts of the vehicle, including the airbags and drivetrain. The defective gateway control modules were allegedly placed in an unsealed compartment under the back seats where the components could be exposed to moisture from rainwater and later fail.

Audi is a luxury vehicle brand owned by Volkswagen.

Volkswagen hasn’t admitted any wrongdoing but agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to resolve the vehicle defect class action lawsuit.

Under the terms of the Audi settlement, class members can receive reimbursement for repairs related to the alleged defect. This includes repairs or replacements performed based on the diagnosed condition of a gateway control module failure or malfunction resulting in liquid ingress or intrusion.

Class members can receive up to 100% reimbursement of these repair costs if the repairs were performed by an authorized Audi dealer. Reimbursement payments for repairs not done by an authorized Audi dealer are capped at $1,450.

Volkswagen agreed to a class action lawsuit settlement to resolve claims that certain Audi vehicles are equipped with defective gateway control modules.
