For the NINTH year in a row the always lovely nurse, Amanda, teamed up with our paralegal, Ryan, and held a small flu clinic for our Richmond office!! Thank you for once again making it easy for staff to be a little healthier this fall!

While flu vaccines vary in how well they work each season, studies show flu vaccinations reduce the risk of a flu-related doctor’s visit by 40-60%. That means more time with your friends and family, and more weekends spent feeling healthy instead of sick 🥳

October 13th is Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day! Today is a day to educate and spread awareness on the challenges that those with metastatic breast cancer face, and highlight the need for more research on this deadly disease. About 155,000 women in the US are estimated to have metastatic breast cancer and that number is projected to grow to over 246,000 by 2030.

If the risk of cancer runs in your family, be sure to get screened regularly to reduce your risk! Hope everyone has a great day, and thanks for wearing pink in support🙂‍↕️💕

Our entire office had the pleasure of meeting the winners of our rescue dog billboard contest last week!! Hailey and Sanctuary Rescue visited our Richmond office, and we got to congratulate them for their big win and present them with their checks 🥳🥳 We learned Hailey loves to travel in her little push chair and she was super sweet and so happy to meet everyone! We even got to roll out the red carpet for her!!!

If you don’t know, Sanctuary rescue is a local non-profit headquartered in Midlothian, Virginia. They operate entirely without a brick-and-mortar facility which means they don’t have a resource center, and instead rely entirely on their community of fosters and volunteers! We are so happy they won our contest and we can’t wait to see more of Hailey throughout the year. Our Holiday billboards will be going up soon, so keep a look out for her smiling face!

Wishing a big congratulations to our Director of Operations, Kristen Jones, for 20 years with the firm! How time flies! Congrats on the 🄿🄻🄰🅃🄸🄽🅄🄼 milestone! Together, all staff surprised her with a video wishing her a happy 20 years and a little party to celebrate! We even got a surprise guest appearance from Oreo, the office dog! Thank you, Kristen, for your dedication over the years, and to many more! 🥳🎉🥳

Ever wondered what to do after a trucking accident? Look no further! Swipe and educate yourself as these accidents are not the same as regular car accidents.

Trucks are heavier and often involve a lot more variables than a more normal wreck. More companies are often involved, deadlines are tight and it’s easy for evidence to be lost. Be sure to educate yourself so you are prepared!!

The results are in!! By something of a landslide, we are happy to announce Hailey and Sanctuary Rescue as the winners of our Rescue Dog contest! 🎉🥳🎉🥳

Look forward to seeing them on our Billboards this holiday season and seeing more of Hailey throughout the year! Thanks to everyone who shared, commented and followed along the journey over the last month. Extra special shout out to anyone who submitted their animal from a rescue we had not heard of before 💙 Thanks for spreading the word on them.

Sunny is a sweet, 6 month old puppy adopted in August from Friends United with the Richmond Shelter (FURS) and has been a wonderful addition to her owners lives! They had been on the search for a dog that fit well into their family as their son, has allergies and asthma, meaning any potential dog would need to be tested. Thankfully, one day they had the opportunity to play with Sunny for two hours at an adoption stand and didn’t have any flare ups!

Sunny’s family are beyond grateful to be granted with the opportunity to welcome him into their home. Sunny loves running on sands at the beach, fishing with her big brother and following the geese at the lake. Every day they look forward to coming home to Sunny standing on his hind legs, waiting to trade kisses for belly and back rubs.
