🚨 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT — FORT BEND COUNTY 🚨

A client of ours contacted our office today after receiving a call from someone claiming to be with the Sheriff’s Office.

Our client is serving weekend jail time. The caller told her that the jail was full and that, for $1,500, she could pay the fee and avoid serving her jail time that weekend.

THIS WAS A SCAM.

Thankfully, she contacted our office before sending any money and blocked the number.

If you receive a call like this, HANG UP THE PHONE AND CALL ME. Do not send money. Do not provide personal information. Let us help you determine whether the call is legitimate.

Great CLE today by Judge Duckett.

We had a wonderful CLE today with Judge Duckett of the Magistrate Court! Even for the non-criminal attorneys, it was an informative discussion on how our justice system works in the early stages after arrest. Please join us in congratulating David and Becky Green on the arrival of their first child! Their beautiful baby was born healthy last week, and we are happy to report that both mom and baby are doing well and are now home with their growing family.

This is an exciting and special time for David and Becky, and we couldn’t be happier for them as they begin this new chapter of parenthood.
