Alex spent Saturday at the Almost Annual Collis Warner Farm Pig Roast, an annual affair he and his wife, Ashley, look forward to every fall. Yesterday’s downpour nearly kept them home, but they braved the mud anyway. And they were glad they did. Good food, good people, and a good reminder that the best days aren’t always the sunny ones.

Yesterday, Attorney Alex Taylor joined fellow members of the Hill Tucker Bar Association at the Wills Clinic in Chesterfield, hosted with the Greater Richmond Bar Foundation at The Span Center.

Volunteers helped community members prepare wills, powers of attorney, and advance medical directives. Many of the seniors Alex worked with shared how grateful they were to finally have someone guide them through the process. This isn’t information most people are ever taught, and no one should have to figure it out alone.

Serving seniors and young people is close to Alex’s heart. They are often the ones who benefit most from guidance and the ones who need it most. Helping elders protect themselves and their families is work he is proud to do.

Thank you to the Greater Richmond Bar Foundation, Chesterfield Aging & Disability, and every attorney and notary who gave their afternoon.

For nearly 40 years, Concerned Black Men of Richmond has remained committed to serving, mentoring, and investing in our youth.

Established in 1986, the organization continues that mission today by helping young Black men in grades 5–12 develop the tools, discipline, and confidence needed for academic success and beyond.

Alex was proud to spend time with these young men discussing practical steps toward succeeding in school, making thoughtful choices, and preparing for the opportunities ahead.

The work continues. The responsibility continues. And after four decades, the commitment to the next generation remains just as strong.

Attorney Alex Taylor and his fellow members of the Military Retirees Club provided enough fans to support every classroom at Barack Obama Elementary School in Richmond, Virginia.

The school is not scheduled to receive air conditioning until after October, and today is August 18.

No child should have to learn in an uncomfortably hot classroom.

When the Military Retirees Club learned of the need, its members stepped in to help make sure students and teachers could have a more comfortable environment while they wait.

Service doesn’t end when the uniform comes off. We’re STILL SERVING!

Veterans, active duty service members, families, and civilians all came together to walk for veteran su***de prevention and mental health awareness at the 3rd Annual Veterans Walk.

Alex Taylor, retired Colonel and founder of this event, organized this walk to bring real awareness to veteran su***de prevention and mental health, a cause that is deeply personal to him and to this community.

Veterans, active duty service members, their families, and civilians all showed up and walked together. CBS 6 was there to cover it. That kind of turnout reflects exactly what this event is building toward.
