Delta Sigma Theta is not just a sorority you join in college to wear letters and red, it is a LIFETIME commitment to service, advocacy, and social justice.
From the very beginning, Deltas have been on the front lines of service. Just weeks after our founding, our sorors BOLDLY stepped onto the national stage, marching for women's suffrage and equal rights at a time when our voices were meant to be silent. 🔺️
We stand on the shoulders of giants like Shirley Chisholm, Barbara Jordan and Dorothy Height, who used their leadership and courage to push this nation closer towards lasting change.
As Deltas, we don't simply honor the legacy, WE LIVE IT! Every day and in every space we are called to serve. We don't ask for a seat at the table, we bring our own folding chairs.
So when you see the "Ladies in Red" all over your timeline today, know that it is not just about pretty pictures, it's about celebrating 113 years of work, advocacy, and an unwavering commitment to social justice.
