Our Story
Radon-Ease is a Small Business started in 1987 and one of very few companies that Only Test for Radon. We do not perform Radon Mitigation so we do not create a conflict of interest. Our several decades of radon testing elevates our level of expertise in Radon Testing and customer service to where i far surpasses any other Radon Testers in our area. After Serving on Nuclear Submarines in the 70s, a decade of Home Building afterwards, followed by Lots of Radon Training at Harvard School of Public Health, Rutgers University and many other Universities across the country we are uniquely qualified to offer the best radon testing services available in Virginia.
We’ve designed software to handle the tasks of Quality Control / Quality Assurance defining the precision and accuracy of radon testing equipment in a radon business. With as much equipment as we move around, that’s a must. Without active QA/QC, we would be guessing, not testing. QA/QC is the cornerstone to operating a gold standard radon business and the only way to know if the results offered up by any given device are both precise and accurate.
ALL of Our Field Technicians are Certified by NRPP and NRSB as is required by Virginia Law 32.1-229.01 . Always verify that the INDIVIDUAL offering radon testing services is certified as required. It’s Virginia Law that the INDIVIDUAL doing the testing be certified, not the company doing the work. Thousands of Virginians are being duped by companies using non certified personnel.
We cross train in Radon Mitigation so that we are better able to inspect Radon Mitigation Systems after they’ve been installed. We’ve built a module into our software to offer a visual inspection with an ASTM reference standard to ensure the mitigation systems meet current ASTM Protocols. So we are inspecting the system, and testing the home simultaneously to ensure the system is installed properly and works well.
