A precautionary tale of preditory partners and the failure of the legal system.

For years now I have lived with the pain of explaining what happened. I put land I owned for 30 plus years into a LLC with Donna Powers and Bryan Powers then watched the project sabotaged by the Powers while I was accused of embezzlement and other things for them to justify stealing my land... land Bryan tried to buy before the LLC. A forensic review of the books show I did not embezzle. But Bryan did override our Quickbooks and signed fraudulent tax returns. This cost me a loan to buy them out. The Powers formed Cedar Park Investments, timed out our infrastructure loan then bought the Deed of Trust on the 17 acres I put into the LLC and foreclosed effectively stealing the land I refused to sell. This an other actions taken by the Powers to sabotage our company and development project classify as RICO according to attorneys and those I spoke to in law enforcement. I started with the Greene County Sheriff office. They told me this is the kind of case Homeland Security would take from them. So I went to Homeland Security. They told me there was something to this however their jobs are politically driven and illegal immigration would be their focus. This was also the kind of case they would put time in just for the FBI to take the case from them. So I met with the FBI. I received a call saying they would take the case, it was obvious this was the son’s (Bryan Powers) plan from the beginning. They were not sure when the mother (Donna Powers) joined the plan, but she was in it. They took the case to the Federal Prosecutor who passed (for now) saying (as told to me) let’s see how the civil case goes. This put a huge financial pressure on my family and in the end was outspent. (I will expand on the civil case on a separate post). I was not surprised by this as I was told by attorneys and some in law enforcement getting a prosecutor to take a case like this would be difficult. It is too much work for prosecutors. Had this been r**e, murder or drugs it would have been taken. In the end these people took $500,000 of equity I worked a lifetime to accumulate and Bryan convinced me to put money from my contracting company into our LLC telling me it would be ‘made good at the end’ Instead the Powers and their attorney used this against me. In the civil case, I was out spent by Donna Powers who is a multi millionaire and former McDonald’s owner. I have documentation to support all my accusations. I will post all these emails and documents. Had the Powers stolen $500 from a gas station they would be on the news, but stealing a lifetime of work, my equity, financial security, and dreams means nothing to law enforcement.
