Just sold over asking after receiving multiple offers! 🎉 The story on this North Valley’s home started well before the sign went up. We connected our sellers with vendors, helped coordinate the prep, and got the home ready for its market debut. A little behind-the-scenes support made a big to-do list more manageable, and Monday we celebrated closing! The Reno, NV market is kicking along great for those ready!

Flashback Friday: One building. Four familiar Reno names.

The property opened in 1978 as the MGM Grand Reno. It became Bally’s Reno in 1986, the Reno Hilton in 1992, and the Grand Sierra Resort in 2006.

Which name do you still use: MGM, Bally’s, the Hilton, or GSR? What memory does that name bring back?

Reno Air began flying in 1992, with its first flight connecting Reno and Seattle. The hometown carrier served cities across the West before it was acquired by American Airlines in 1999.

Meet Sheri Herdt, our Transaction Coordinator and one of the people who helps keep everything moving behind the scenes here at the Garrett Stewart Real Estate Group.

A successful closing involves a lot of deadlines, documents, communication, and small details. Sheri helps our team stay organized throughout the process so we can remain focused on our clients and their needs. Her consistency, attention to detail, and support make a real difference for both our agents and the people we serve.

Sheri has worked in real estate since 2018, and we truly appreciate the care she brings to every transaction.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs, baking sourdough, and catching Broadway shows at the Pioneer Center. Her local favorites include the Celtic Festival, Atlantis Steakhouse, and Sky Terrace Sushi. Northern Europe is also high on her travel list.

We’re grateful to have Sheri supporting our team and our clients from contract to closing.

Meet Kyle Stegmaier, Partner Agent and REALTOR®.

Kyle began working in real estate in 2024. His favorite part of the job is the trust clients place in him while making one of the most important decisions of their lives. It’s a responsibility he considers an immense honor.

Outside of real estate, Kyle loves cooking. Not just casually, either. People are often surprised by exactly how much he enjoys it. He could also talk about marketing and sports for hours.

His local recommendations are Josef’s Vienna Bakery for breakfast or brunch and Arario for lunch or dinner. Japan is currently at the top of his travel list.

As for his favorite Northern Nevada event, it’s a close call. Which gets your vote: the Great Reno Balloon Race or Hot August Nights?
