Exactly one year ago today my friend and neighbor Donald Schramm along with Amanda found me collapsed in my house. If it wasn't for these 2 great people, I would not be here today. off to Beebe I went, woke up in the ICU intubated--the worse thing I've ever experienced-- did not know my kidneys had shut down because of a cancerous tumor in my right thigh. Today I am cancer free-- 2 MRIs have evidence that there is no recurrence or residual tumor present. I Thank my lucky stars for my Great medical team at Thomas Jefferson who have been so deeply involved with my care.
Dr Scot Brown as Ortho. surgeon who removed "THAT THING"--his words.
I thank ALL of you who over the past year have prayed for me, have asked about me, have texted, emailed or sent a card, called me or even called my Brother John. Johnny has been my tremendous support and also expert driver back & forth tom Philadelphia. We've kind of made going to Philly our thing--he found a great pizza place, a great Diner and I've made friends with a new client
!\Crazy as it may sound, I also encountered Nurse Externs in Jefferson--which just tickled me because my Doctoral Dissertation focused on Nurse Extern Programs. Go figure--my hypothesis was validated!!
THANK YOU for all of your prayers.
Thank You for your support
Thank You for helping me in other ways--
I am back to work full time--So I do not walk as fast as I used to BUT I am driving. thanks to the efforts of the Physical therapists at Beebe PT on Coastal Highway.
Thank You Donald Schramm for always being in the right place at the right time--& thank You Amanda Lombardi for being you and taking such good care of me & loving sushi as much as I do!
Thank You Lord for seeing me through this horrible time of my life BUT you did not desert me a-only made my faith in you stronger !
God Bless All of you!
