Just because you’re surrounded by people doesn’t mean you’re not standing alone.

I see it every day in real estate.

People assume it’s about houses, contracts, and closing dates.

But behind every transaction is someone carrying stress, uncertainty, financial pressure, family issues, loss, divorce, illness, or the weight of starting over.

Sometimes the home isn’t the hard part.

Life is.

Be kind. You never know what someone is walking through while they’re trying to keep moving forward.

Everybody’s hooting and hollering about the president while real issues are happening right in our own backyard.

People focus so much on leadership at the very top that they forget leadership exists at every level — inside organizations, workplaces, public systems, and local communities too.

For years, I watched accessibility and basic human access treated like “not a priority.”

And yes, I am put off by it because my father was disabled, so this hits home for me.

People with disabilities shouldn’t have to fight to be treated like they matter.

I think people need to stop and think about that for a minute.

We need to get our “priority list” straight.

Not everything going wrong starts at the top.

Maybe this is why I ended up in real estate.
Because at the end of the day, people don’t just need transactions — they need honesty, transparency, accessibility, and someone willing to actually advocate for them.

Funny how those same things should matter in every system we rely on.

Which side of your future do you want to live on?

Some people are so excited about replacing humans with AI that they forget who built the f-a-r-g-o-n world in the first place.

AI is a tool.
A powerful one.

And I actually love technology. I always have.

But if a business becomes so focused on automation that it starts removing empathy, trust, intuition, creativity, and real human connection… something gets lost.

Human beings are not flaws in the system.

They are the reason the system exists.

Especially in industries like real estate, where people are making emotional, life-changing decisions.

Technology should help people.
Not erase them.

Because no matter how advanced the world becomes, people still want to feel heard, understood, protected, and valued.

And sometimes I wonder…

If we remove too much humanity from business in the name of efficiency, do we eventually create a world that feels efficient… but emotionally empty?

Do you really know who your mother is?

Not just “mom.”
Not just the person who raised you, worried about you, cooked for you, yelled at you, protected you, or drove you crazy sometimes.

But her.

What was her childhood like?
What music does she love?
What broke her heart?
What made her laugh when she was younger?
What did she dream about before life got busy?

My mom was an open book, so I never really had to ask.
But now that she’s gone, I realize how many questions I still would’ve loved to hear her answer.

And it makes me wonder…
If she had been quieter, would I have thought to ask sooner?

So this Mother’s Day, ask your mom something about her life.
Not about yours.
About hers.

You might learn something beautiful while you still can.
