On June 3, 2021, the New Jersey Senate voted unanimously to pass Bill S3584, whose purpose is to provide planned real estate developments with legal protections against liability for COVID-19-related claims. Bill S3584 is identical to New Jersey Assembly Bill A4979 that was introduced on November 12, 2020 and remains pending. 📄

New Jersey condominium associations and HOAs should continue to monitor the status of this legislation, as it could impact decisions to re-open community amenities. 📄
