Why is making an estate plan important?
There are many benefits of establishing a proper estate plan, no matter what your stage in life or financial status may be. An estate plan establishes more than just who receives what after you pass away; it involves multiple important aspects regarding your loved ones. A proper estate plan can address the following:
In the absence of an estate plan, your loved ones will be required to go through the court process. Establishing a solid plan protects your beneficiaries while ensuring that your estate is dispensed according to your wishes.
You will be able to identify any components missing from your estate plan, enabling you to take preemptive action where necessary before any error becomes problematic.
By planning your estate now, you can ensure a smooth and expedited transition of property to your beneficiaries. For example, you can arrange for insurance to be paid directly, among other savvy estate planning options.
You can establish decisions including designation of executors / trustees for your estate, funeral arrangements, business succession, charitable donations, special trust funds, and an incapacity / life support plan.
An intelligent estate plan can serve to effectively minimize taxes and reduce expenses, to your beneficiaries’ advantage.
You can enjoy peace of mind knowing that your family and loved ones will be properly cared for, no matter what happens.
Begin protecting your loved ones’ futures today. Establishing an estate plan is a mature and loving decision .We can help you. Call the Law Office of John Bennett Attorney at Law LLC and request your free initial consultation today. 919-604-8538

THE GREATEST GIFT YOU CAN LEAVE YOUR FAMILY IS AN ESTATE PLAN.
In our society, we rarely talk about death even though it is a natural and unavoidable part of life. It is worth spending a few moments being uncomfortable to give your family lasting clarity about your wishes and estate plan that will ensure that such wishes come to fruition. A proper estate plan will give the things that you spent your whole lifetime earning to your loved once and can make your transition from this world as painless as possible for your family. Without valid legal documents, the state of California will decide who gets what, and how.
The two primary documents that we are concerned with are wills and trusts, and there is a significant difference between the two. A Last Will and Testament still goes through probate while a Living Trust avoids the process.
