Stacey grew-up in Hillsborough, North Carolina where she graduated from Orange High School in 1988. Stacey married her high school sweetheart, Roland Walters, and now, lives on his family farm in Efland, North Carolina with their two children, Evan and Shayla. She graduated with honors from Elon University. While Stacey was a biology major and intended to go to medical school after college, she c
hanged her mind after sitting as a juror on a murder trial when she was 19 years old! Stacey fell in love with the legal arena, so she decided to intern with the Orange County District Attorney's Office to see if she wanted to pursue practicing law. The rest is history. She graduated in 1992 from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in the top third of her class. After Graduating, Stacey clerked for the Honorable Leopold Borrello before entering private practice. During her years of practice, she won a landmark case of first impression in the Michigan Supreme Court. Stacey was then recruited as In-House Counsel for an Insurance Company serving 5 States. After moving back home to North Carolina, Stacey continued practicing law in Greensboro. In 2008, after being blessed with their own special needs daughter, Stacey shifted her practice to focus on Estate Planning. This unique perspective drives Stacey to help all families put the perfect plan in place by making it simple and easy without the need for Court interference. Stacey strives to meet the goals of every family including preserving your hard earned assets for your loved ones and pets.
