A native of Zebulon, NC, I graduated cm laude in 1998 from North Carolina State University with a B.A.in Sociology and graduated cm laude in 2003 from North Carolina Central University School of Law. I served as a member of the senior editorial staff of the North Carolina Central Law Journal and was awarded the Outstanding Family Student Award from the North Carolina Chapter of the American Acad
emy of Matrimonial Lawyers in 2003. I began my legal career as a paralegal, earning my Civil Litigation Paralegal Certificate at Meredith College in 2000 and worked as a paralegal and law clerk while attending law school at North Carolina Central University. Riddle, a North Carolina Family Law specialist and Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, in Asheville, NC. While in Asheville, I was the Secretary of the Asheville Chapter of the North Carolina Association of Women Attorneys and a member of the Junior League of Asheville. I was certified as a Family Law Specialist by the North Carolina State Bar in November, 2009 and am currently a member of the Wake County Bar Association and the NC Bar Association. I was appointed to the North Carolina Bar Association Law Practice Management Section’s Council for a three year term that ended in 2010. During my term, I co-edited the Law Practice Management Section’s Newsletter. In 2017, I co-authored Practical Skills for North Carolina Family Law Paralegals that was published by the North Carolina Bar Association. I also served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Family Support Network of Wake County, which was a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and informing families of children with prematurity issues, developmental disabilities, chronic illness and other special needs. I am a member of Edenton Street United Methodist Church and have participated in the Team in Training Program and trained for the City of Oaks Half Marathon in 2008 and 2010 while raising funds for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, cooking, caring for my fur babies and being a devoted aunt to my niece and nephew.
